Therapy and consulting services are offered for the purpose of moving you to achieve your identified goals. We approach all of our clients as individuals and as their own pathfinders. Services are tailored for you and are intensely personal. You get out of it what you put in.
Thoughts, behaviors, values, ethics and morals, cultural norms, self-esteem, self-confidence, gratitude and consideration are more than some social worker’s word salad. They are the foundation of a good human being or a good organization and where much of our work is usually done. Thoughts and actions are directly related and move one another along when adjusted. These are the levers to accomplishing your goals.
You Should Expect
- To be supported and never judged. Ever.
- To set your own goals with any needed guidance.
- To do work. Talk is cheap and change comes with action. Plan for it.
- Initial sessions are 80-90 minutes to explore things and get to know one another. Bring any questions you have. Regular sessions are usually between 30 and 60-ish minutes.
- Diagnoses will be discussed in as much detail as we need.
- Confidentiality is sacrosanct, but there are some limits. Those will be discussed in detail and deal with safety and sharing information that is required by insurance or to ensure your complete care with other providers.
- That we will challenge one another.
Preparing to Start
- We will have a short phone chat to see if we are a good fit for one another.
- Then we’ll make the first appointment and sort out payment methods and issues.
- I’ll provide new client documents including informed consent, limits to confidentiality, a good faith estimate, etc.
- We will review all of those documents during our first session and then jump in to assess what’s going on and go from there.
