Frustrations

Find out about 105-year-old man near Savannah... Find out he and his family are celebrating 105th birthday Saturday, the day before father's day... Four generations going to be there...

I say, "Writer can go down Friday and have undivided attention... I can go down Saturday and document day..."

Writer and features editor agree... Get it past my boss? Never happen...

I'm only photographer working Saturday, can't leave town... I am assigned to go down Friday to get portrait... I'm sick of portraits...

The paper reads: here is story about guy... Here is picture of guy... Documentary photojournalism? Wouldn't know it if it bit me in the ass with three rows of razor sharp teeth... Grr...

I am mad. Mad I am.
